Once we have registered the domain name, we set up the DNS records immediately. Once that is complete, we have to wait for the new name to propagate. Which is more or less waiting for the name to register with the nameservers for the Internet to be able to find it.
Generally speaking this can take up to 48 hours. Although that is very rare. We've had names come up within an hour before. Average time is a few hours.
